2020 Kynsey Road Tempranillo

The 2020 Kynsey Road is the first rendition of Tempranillo sourced from our young 6 year old vines. This 2 acre west-facing hillside bathes in the shade while the sun rises on the east. Retaining the most shade in the early mornings, acidity, tannins, and ripeness find balance in this unique microc/imate. An ode to traditional Rioja Reservas, we cellar for 2 7 months prior to blending with Grenache and 6 months in bottle before release. Bask in aromas of anise, cloves, Kiana cherries, and tobacco over hints of Arabian jasmine and rosehips. Appreciate fresh acidity with flavors of Bourjasotte Crise figs, cherries, braised venison, and persuasive hints of flint, to a lingering grippy tannic finish, on the road to Kynsey.
