2019 Wilfred - 2 bottle limit
Tasting notes
Inky in the glass. Wilfred is young at heart, ambitious to stand on its own. Only the 4th vintage, this hillside Mourvèdre is proving to be a standout in Westside Paso Robles. Herbal and stone aromatics, striking and confident, are wild salvia and white sage, with damp earthiness amidst subtle gamey undertones. On the palate, Wilfred’s mouthfeel is assertive, yet not abrasive. Soft, yet full bodied. Blackberries and plum with chalky minerality add a beautiful compliment to its velvety tannins and lingering finish. An elegant wine, the future is bright for Wilfred.
