Opaque in color with a deep purple hue and a glass-tinting swirl. Dark brambly-style fruit shows on the nose. The palate has a slight smoky oak influence with a chewy meatiness resembling a Northern Rhone wine. Finishes with a chocolate-covered blueberry essence, and accents of blackberries, plums, and black cherries. Added complexities with notes of flowers, spice, earth, chocolate, licorice, pepper and truffles. Ably complemented with sous vide of bison, lamb or venison. It is also lovely paired with all types of Mediterranean flavors. |
